- A few years ago @kawa made a script to help with editing of maps etc which you can find here.


- For the last month or so I've been working on something more UI friendly in the sense of a little more advance then the previous version.

* Features are as followed (As of now - More to be added)

- Preview dialogue (Show's what your edit will look like in real time)
- More options on what to add to your edit - Eg, helicopters, walls(all), majority of the edit code base.

- Full map list.

- Options to add previous edited maps.

- And the big one, Seeing a full map edit before it's deployed to the game itself, (work in progress).




Obviously I've ran into few issues,

- CPU load.

- Memory load.

- And overall bug's.

- Program does crash from time to time, (work in progress).


The program is written in python and C+


The point of this program is to try and bring back player base and decrease time for new maps or even older ones with fewer edits, While also helping editors become more confident in editing.



As i said this project is a work in progress but i would be open to testers very soon.


I also haven't named it yet, Open to suggestions.

but overall - whatever tool you intend to bring out should be web based. CLI/GUI desktop-only programs should imo only exist for tools which cannot run in a browser space or truly needs more power than e.g. v8
